Yes, we always ensure that our products are vegan-friendly. We use wax and fragrance oil that are free from animal-derived ingredients in the production of our candles, wax melts, and reed diffusers. We are committed to opposing animal cruelty.

It is important to trim the wick before each burn. A lengthy wick can result in smoking and burning the sides of the glass. We recommend trimming the wick to a length of 1/4 inch using a wick trimmer or household scissors. Only trim the wick after the wax has cooled to prevent excess wick from falling into the melted wax. A longer wick will cause the flame to burn through the wax more quickly.

If you plan to reuse your candle holder, one method to remove excess wax is to freeze the holder, allowing the wax to shrink. Alternatively, you can run warm water over the holder and use a small amount of washing-up liquid to clean out the remaining wax. Since soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin, boiling water is unnecessary. Avoid using sharp or metal objects on the glass to avoid damaging the white paintwork. The sticky tab holding the wick in place can be easily removed with gentle persuasion.

Tunnelling refers to the deeper burning of wax in the center of a candle compared to the edges. To avoid tunnelling, it is crucial to achieve the proper initial burn. Typically, burning the candle for one hour per inch in diameter will prevent tunnelling and create a memory ring. After the first burn, avoid lighting the candle for short periods to prevent tunnelling in the future. However, remember not to burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time and allow it to cool for at least 2 hours before relighting.

Since our candles are made from natural soy wax, variations in appearance are normal and do not affect the quality or burn time of the candle. We do not use dyes in our candles, but the shade of fragrance oils can slightly tint the wax
